Why Was Aduana FC CEO Spotted Standing On Dirt Outside Wenchi Park? Young Apostles Break Silence

Young Apostles have rejected claims they barred Aduana FC chief executive Collins Atta Poku from Wenchi Park during their Ghana Premier League Matchweek 6 clash.

The home side won the fixture 1-0, but off-pitch drama dominated discussion after images circulated on social media showing Atta Poku watching the game from a mound of dirt outside the stadium walls.

A Facebook post by sports blogger "Andydotcom" alleged that fans had asked the Aduana CEO to stay away and threatened to smash his car windows if he entered the ground.

Young Apostles have described that account as a "deliberate and misleading portrayal."

In a statement, the club said the incident was a matter of stadium protocol, not fan hostility. According to the Wenchi-based side, Atta Poku attempted to access the VIP section through an unauthorised entrance and was directed by security to the designated entry point, in line with standard procedures.

The club said it made repeated efforts to facilitate his entry and personally invited him to join the VIP section, but that he declined and chose to remain outside.

"Management made repeated and genuine efforts to facilitate his entry and personally invited him to join the VIP section," the statement said. The club added that the viral photographs were subsequently shared to create a false impression of exclusion.

Young Apostles also defended their matchday operations, insisting full hospitality was provided to all visiting Aduana supporters and that the club remains committed to fair play and a welcoming environment for visiting teams and officials.

They urged stakeholders to refrain from spreading misleading information designed to tarnish their reputation.

On the pitch, Young Apostles secured all three points with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aduana Stars.
