Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey continued his impressive form after being named NASCO Man of the Match in the Phobians' game against Vision FC.
It is the second game in a row the centre-back has picked up the award, having also won it in Hearts' 1-0 victory over Port City in their previous fixture.
Asibey's commanding performances at the back have sparked calls for him to be given a chance in the Black Stars set-up ahead of the November 2027 AFCON qualifiers double-header against Somalia.
The calls come with Ghana's defence under scrutiny after conceding six goals in two games during the September qualifiers.
Speaking to reporters after the Vision FC game, Asibey said he is ready to serve if called upon.
“We call something time and seasons. When it’s your time nobody can stop you,” he said.
“As long as I’m a Ghanaian, I’m qualified to play for the Black Stars, so when the nation needs my service, I will serve.”
With his current form, the Hearts defender has made a strong case for inclusion should a local player be considered for the Somalia games.
