Speaking after the final whistle, Queiroz offered a measured tactical assessment. He conceded that the Ivorians dominated possession but argued that Ghana's direct, vertical approach yielded the better scoring opportunities.
"I am very proud of my team, very proud of my players, the way they fight against adversity," Queiroz stated. "In terms of possession, Ivory Coast was better than us. In terms of attacking penetration and creating opportunities, we were better than Ivory Coast."
The manager pointed to clear-cut chances for Augustine Boakye, Benjamin Tetteh and Kwasi Sibo. The decisive factor, according to Queiroz, was a lack of clinical finishing.
"The difference was exactly that: we lacked a little bit of inspiration in our striking moment," he explained. "We had enough opportunities to score. Let's improve in that compartment."
Rather than viewing the defeat as a tactical failure, Queiroz characterized it as a hard-fought battle decided by fine margins.
