Hearts of Oak avenged last season's defeat to Vision FC with a hard-fought 1-0 victory in Tema on Saturday to move second in the Ghana Premier League.
Kwasi Asmah scored the decisive goal to hand the Phobians their second away win of the season - the most by any side so far this campaign.
The result is redemption for Hearts, who lost on their previous visit to Vision FC last season. Defender Ransford Mensah had vowed before the game that history would not repeat itself, and the Phobians delivered.
It proved to be exactly the tough test head coach Nebojsa Kapor had predicted. The Serbian warned in the build-up that his side would have to fight hard to take points at Vision FC, a venue where visiting teams rarely have it easy, and so it proved.
After a cagey contest, Hearts found the breakthrough to secure all three points and keep a vital clean sheet on the road.
The victory lifts Hearts of Oak to 14 points from seven matches in Matchweek 7, level with Medeama in second place. Medeama, however, have a game in hand and play tomorrow when the rest of the Matchweek 7 fixtures are completed.
