FC AshantiGold have sacked head coach Abdul Karim Zito and his entire technical team.
The decision was announced in a statement on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, signed by chief executive Edward Kwasi Akuoko.
The club said the decision followed a meeting of the Interim Management Committee on Monday.
Assistant coach Ernest Okyere and goalkeeper trainer Robert Dabo have also left the club.
AshantiGold said a caretaker coach has been appointed until a substantive replacement is named.
The club thanked the coaches for their service and wished them well for the future.
The sacking comes after AshantiGold drew 1-1 with Asante Kotoko in the Ashanti derby on Sunday on matchday eight of the Ghana Premier League.
Zito, who is head coach and technical director, won three, drew two and lost three of his eight league games this season.
Speaking on Obaapa Radio, Akuoko gave two reasons for the decision.
He said the club wanted more consistent results, adding that away performances had been poor.
He said: "As a serious club, you always want to win. I'm not a leader who always lowers expectations just because we are a newly promoted side. We are not saying we have to win the league at all costs, but we simply want consistent results. Our away performances have been poor."
He also said there were issues within the technical team.
He added: "The second reason is that, personally, I received reports that the technical team led by Karim Zito were not on good terms, and that could be affecting our results."
