Medeama return to league action after Champions League exit as two Saturday games headline Matchday Three

Medeama SC return to Ghana Premier League action this weekend after their exit from the CAF Champions League first preliminary round.

The Tarkwa-based side were eliminated by five-time African champions TP Mazembe 4-1 on aggregate. They lost 1-0 at home at the TnA Stadium in the first leg, before suffering a 3-1 defeat in the return leg at the Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi on 12 September. 

Medeama now turn their attention back to domestic competition.

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed two matches will be played on Saturday as part of Matchday Three of the 2026-27 season, with Saturday fixtures having been a feature since the start of the campaign.

Heart of Lions will host Swedru All Blacks at the Kpando Stadium, while Vision FC face Medeama at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex at Tema New Town. Both matches kick off at 15:00 GMT on 19 September.

The fixture at Kpando will be shown live on Nua TV and Max TV.

This weekend marks the first time two matches will be played on a Saturday this season.
