AshantiGold head coach Karim Zito expressed his delight after leading the club to victory in their first Ghana Premier League game back in Obuasi in over four years.
The Miners marked their return to the Len Clay Stadium with a 3-1 win over Vision FC, inspired by a first-half hat-trick from 23-year-old midfielder David Gyamfi Junior.
Speaking after the game, Zito reserved special praise for the match-winner.
"Well, he is that way. He is very consistent in terms of his play, he trains a lot and he listens too," Zito said.
"So a player like this, you will not be surprised when he shows his performance on the field.
"We went to Port City, he did the same thing to them. He was everywhere. So I am not surprised with how he played because that is the way we want him to play."
The win marks a perfect start to the season for AshantiGold, who are back in the top flight after four years away from the Premier League.
