Former Fenerbahce defender Alexander Djiku has described Kojo Peprah Oppong as a very good signing for the Turkish club.

Djiku spoke to Turkish outlet Fanatik after his Ghana international teammate completed his €12m move from Nice to Fenerbahce.

The former Fenerbahce captain said Oppong is ready for the demands of the Super Lig after his strong season in France.

"He's a good player. He had a really good season at Nice and was one of the team's best players," Djiku said.

"He is athletic and comfortable with the ball. He is still young, so he has plenty of room to develop. I'm sure he will learn a lot at Fenerbahce. I think he is a very good signing for the club."

Oppong, 22, has signed a four-year deal with the Istanbul club.
