Arriving on a free transfer after parting ways with South Sudanese outfit El Merriekh Bentiu, the towering shot-stopper has committed to a two-year contract ahead of the demanding 2026/27 campaign.

Standing at an imposing 1.93 meters, Salman brings a formidable presence and a decorated resume to Tarkwa. Valued at approximately €150,000, he has built a stellar reputation across African football.

Prior to his recent stint with El Merriekh Bentiu, which began in July 2025, he enjoyed successful spells with Sudanese clubs Hilal Al Sahil and continental heavyweights Al Merrikh SC between 2017 and 2023.

His club career is highlighted by 18 appearances across the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. This extensive continental pedigree will be heavily relied upon as Medeama SC prepares for their return to the CAF Champions League.

With the preliminary rounds of the prestigious tournament scheduled to kick off in early September, the Mauve and Yellows have set a firm target of reaching the group stage. Although the draw and groupings for these preliminary match-ups are not yet out, Salman’s seasoned leadership and elite abilities will provide crucial stability for the high-stakes fixtures ahead.

Beyond his club achievements, Salman has been a highly reliable anchor for the Sudanese national team, the Falcons of Jediane. Since making his senior international debut against Senegal in 2018, he has earned 10 caps for his country.

He most recently served as Sudan's first-choice goalkeeper at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, starting all three group-stage fixtures to help his nation advance to the Round of 16.

Furthermore, he played a vital role in Sudan's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, making three key appearances.
